Desi Makki Atta is a traditional flour stone ground flour made from whole dried corn. This product is suitable for vegetarians and gluten free. Heera Desi Makki Atta is extremely popular in Punjab (North India) and is used to make Makki Roti, which is traditionally eaten with Sarson Saag, it is also used to prepare desserts and puddings (i.e. porridge) and various other delicacies. Warm water is to be used when kneading this Atta, and a small amount of salt can also be added. The dough will be very soft compared to dough made out of wheat flour.
