Black cumin seeds are small nutty flavoured black seeds derived from the fruit of an annual flowering plant called Nigella Sativa. Kalonji seeds are widely used as a spice and often added to traditional Indian flatbreads or naan, curries and stews or with Indian lentils or dal.
