Heera Fennel Seeds

Fennel is a perennial, pleasant-smelling herb with yellow flowers. Fennel's dried ripe seeds and oil are used to make medicine. Fennel is used by mouth for various digestive problems including heartburn, intestinal gas, bloating, loss of appetite, and colic in infants among others. Fennel seed has an oval shape, and once dried takes on a greenish-brown color, which slowly fades to gray as the seeds age. Due to their similar sweet and subtle licorice-like taste, fennel seed is often confused with anise.
Fennel is crunchy and slightly sweet, adding a refreshing contribution to various cuisines worldwide. A dried seed that comes from the fennel herb, fennel seeds look like cumin seeds, only greener, and have an aniseed flavour and a warm, sweet aroma.
